Couples seeking traditional luxury
The hospitality was incredible, staff treated us like family. Akari-sans warm Hojicha as welcome drinks just made every return to the ryokan feel special,, she even wrote us a personalized letter wishing us well, that was so thoughtful!
It wasn’t exactly cheap,, but worth every cent that I spent.

The private baths offered an incredible relaxation experience after a long day of exploring.
The on-site dining was overpriced and the food quality did not match the high prices.

excellent service but minor room hiccups
The Japanese-Style Luxury Room with Garden View offered a serene and spacious retreat during our stay. The staff’s attention to detail truly stood out, making us feel valued every moment. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional, highlighting fresh, local ingredients and traditional flavors. The garden view added a tranquil touch to our experience.
The only downside was the lack of privacy in the common areas during peak times.

We loved our three-night stay, especially the comfy futon mattresses and the relaxing onsen bath that made our visit special. There were great opportunities to unwind in the beautiful garden and at the cozy lounge area. Just a heads up, you might find the close attention from staff a bit much if you're used to a more private experience, but we cherished it! 😊

What an awesome stay at this beautiful ryokan with our large family and three dogs! The traditional atmosphere combined with friendly staff made our experience memorable. We explored the nearby Kyoto National Museum and loved having kaiseki dinner served right in our room—such an unforgettable treat!
In my wife’s opinion, the noise from the street during our visit was a bit disruptive for our dogs.

Exceptional Service and Memorable Experience
My stay was incredible, thanks to the attentive staff who gave us a true taste of traditional Japanese hospitality. Our room was beautifully maintained, and the onsen provided a serene retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. I highly recommend trying the Kaiseki meal. it was a highlight of the visit. However, the futons were a bit firmer than I am used to, which might be an adjustment for some travelers.
